When I was in High School I did an internship at THE local portrait studio in my home town. My parents were proud of me landing that gig so when my sister turned 16 they decided to do a sweet 16 portrait session for her and along with that a family portrait session. I did not want to be a part of that session. I didn’t get along with my dad and certainly didn’t want to be seen with my little sister. I humored my mom nonetheless not knowing that this would be the ONLY professional family portrait we would ever take as my father died a couple of years later.
If 2020 taught us anything it is how fleeting life actually is and how important it is to capture the memories while you can.
